VMware certified (VCP), now what?

I recently attended a required vmware training class and passed their VCP test. I say "required" because even if you pass the test, you aren't "VCP certified" until you attend a qualified training class as well. I assume this is to add clout to the certification and money to vmware. What to do after certification? I see there are some high paying gigs out there for linux/vmware consultants, but my house keeps me where I am (the market being quite grim here in Florida.. there's no hope of getting out from under it.. not that I particularly want to.. it would just be nice to be able to rent it out for close to the mortgage).
Since I dropped out of college at a young age and never went back, I've decided to attend Western Governors University (www.wgu.edu) for a BS in IT. I don't see this helping my techie skills, but it will help my chances at going to some level of management. With any luck a few more dollars to help pay that mortgage down while in the process. It sure would be nice to get out of the rat race though, so if you've got the desire to start up our own techie company of some sort.. let me know! :)
